Meet Jeannette
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always felt there is a direct correlation between passion, perseverance and success.
Initially I learned this from my parents, who were respected people of integrity, with loyalty to their values. They gave me the freedom to pursue my passions and a foundation to reach higher. It was my perseverance and faith that helped me move from one step to the next.
As a child, I struggled with severe asthma. I needed to endure frightening attacks and hospitalizations to emerge stronger on the other side. Later, when I moved to the mainland and had to assimilate to a new culture, I was ready to meet whatever challenge came my way.
When I entered the technical field of IT, I worked among very few people with my shared experience. But I was passionate about IT and strong enough to succeed, as long as I stayed loyal to myself and my values as I gained increasing responsibility.
During the good times and the bad, I realized that perseverance is the secret to success. We may be gifted but without perseverance we will not succeed. We may have challenges that make us feel helpless or even hopeless but without perseverance we will not overcome them. I believe it is life’s harsh realities and curve balls that shape us, help us grow and even open us up to new possibilities. Only then can we be successful!
My career has been extremely important to me and I am very grateful for my success. Like everyone else, I have other dreams and passions that I wanted to pursue but was waiting for the right moment to explore. That moment has arrived. Amongst those dreams and passions I always wanted to become a writer and a motivational speaker. I also had a passion for animals, and now I have gained that wisdom that I needed to open my heart and share with others.
As you can tell by my picture, I am also an animal lover. As a service to my community, I volunteered for 7 years in the Dog Therapy program at Edward Hospital in Naperville (the largest in the nation). I love witnessing the joy my dog would bring to other people. It shows that often the most unexpected things can help us through our most difficult moments.
I would love to inspire your audience with a message of perseverance for their own circumstances. My joy is watching my audience members leave with a brand new, unique perspective that touches their minds and hearts.
I look forward to hearing from you!
